Soccer
The soccer camp at The Stony Brook School is a fantastic experience for all players, whether you have been playing with teams for years or are just learning the game. Stony Brook is proud to be home to the 2009 New York State High School Athletic Association Champions in soccer! Your child will be coached by players and coaches from that State Championship team, as well as coaches with over 25 years coaching experience! Players will learn passing, dribbling, and shooting techniques. They will be introduced to strategies on breaking down defenders and containing offensive players. They will be taught according to the “Four Pillars of the Game” (Technical, Tactical, Psychological, and Physical). Afternoon games will give players a chance to use new skills as they are put into action with teammates. The camp concludes with an all-camp tournament to crown a camp champion, which families are invited to attend. The two-week session will give players a chance to build deeper relationships and coaches a chance to make a more lasting impact on the players. Athletes must bring their own shin guards and cleats.
