My SBS Story:

"I came to SBS after a life of living internationally, and it's a huge culture shock.  But after being a boarder for only 5 months, it feels like I have been here forever.  I wouldn't take it back.  I love living at school - even if it is more stressful - because there's a sense of independence.  The best parts of life here are making friends amongst people I never thought I'd get along with, the influence of faith and God, and the faculty.  Part of being at SBS is taking advantage of the amazing faculty, and my favorite teachers are the three Rs - the Ryans, the Rileys and the Ramirezes.  SBS works you hard to the core though, and I had a hard time at first adjusting to having to study for 2+ hours a night, but I know it'll pay off when college comes around.  I feel like I'm doing better academically because I actually care about my work now.  Socially, it's very different because you live with everyone, and that can be hard, but it's also good because you get to make your own family.  Spiritually, I'm trying to find myself through God, and so far, so good.  The weekdays are so intense, but the weekends are so chill. Time just files by.  It's just crazy being here, and completely beyond what I imagined it would be."
