Future Engineers of America
Session A: July 5 – July 15

Future Engineers of America (FEA) is an exciting, hands-on science program filled with adventure, exploration, and skill development. Utilizing The Stony Brook School’s science and computer labs, along with trips to Long Island science education sites, FEA engages young learners in a range of fun activities that instill a desire to explore science and technology as a creative part of their lives. Included are aviation and rocketry projects, physical science experiments, engineering challenge contests, and initial computer training. The weekly schedule rotates each day so participants experience a range of other activities that include outdoor games, life-value discussions, and an exciting field trip in addition to their science activities. $850

Advanced FEA
Session A: July 5 – July 15
Session B: July 18 – July 29
Session C: August 1 – August 12 Grades 6 - 10

Advanced FEA builds on the science foundation taught in our FEA program and takes students to higher levels of technological development. More advanced building and programming of robots as well as leading-edge advances in science and medicine will be explored. The program also introduces the study of alternative energies – solar, wind, and water – and the fundamental scientific concepts behind these technologies. Computer skills with media technologies will be introduced and used by the students for presentations. Instructors will guide the design of advanced projects to maximize student input and creativity. Balancing the day with stewardship, worldview discussions, active team-building 
challenges and leadership skills instill a positive group spirit. Educational field trips are also included in the Advanced FEA program. $900

  • Baseball

    For grades sixth to twelfth
    We are excited to offer a brand new baseball camp this summer! Running the first two weeks of August, campers will receive training from our SBS baseball coaches. Instruction is centered on enhancing baseball fundamentals: hitting, fielding, baserunning, proper throwing motions, and how to think like a ball player. Morning drills will lead to afternoon scrimmages and tournaments, in addition to pool time and other various fun activities. Be a part of something special, as baseball launches at The Brook once more this summer!

  • Basketball

    For grades fourth to twelfth
    Our world-class facilities and outstanding instructors work together to offer a truly unique basketball camp. Instruction is fast-paced, engaging, and impactful. Players will work on every aspect of their game, including ballhandling, defense, passing, shooting, rebounding, decision-making, spacing, situational strategy, and athleticism. Team-building is reinforced during fun morning activities and daily games each afternoon. Our campus offers five, full-court basketball courts with 16 baskets in total, along with ample facilities for fitness training.

  • Golf

    For grades fourth to twelfth
    Our golf camp is focused on developing and maturing skill levels, while fostering a love for the game. The program is focused on introducing the game of golf to beginners, but is certainly challenging enough for more seasoned athletes to sharpen their skills. Campers receive instruction from golf professionals and experienced instructors who utilize the driving range, putting green and other facilities at our off-campus location. Golfers should come prepared with their own bags (5 clubs minimum), sneakers or soft spikes, 6 golf balls and tees, golf glove (optional), hat, rain gear, sun block, lunch, and water bottle.

  • Mini Sports

    For grades first to fourth
    Mini-Sports is aimed at younger campers whose love for sports and games just can’t be contained!Our goal is to foster the love of an active lifestyle. Campers will learn the fundamentals of a wide variety of sports, such as basketball, flag football, soccer, swimming and many more. Other games that encourage team building and athletic values will also fill the program. Mini-Sports is perfect for those who enjoy a wide variety of activities, and who desire a program that isn’t so much focused on developing a certain skill set as it is offering exciting and diverse activities, including day trips and pool time.

  • Soccer

    For grades fourth to twelfth
    The soccer camp at SBS is a fantastic program for all players, whether you have years of experience, or you are just learning the game. Players will be taught passing, dribbling, and scoring techniques in addition to more advanced strategies on breaking down defenders and containing offensive players. Afternoon games will give campers a chance to use new skills as they are put into action with teammates, all leading to a final tournament to crown a camp champion. As with all of our camp programs, soccer campers will have access to the pool during select hours. Athletes must bring their own shin guards and cleats.

  • Swimming

    For grades eighth to twelfth
    What better way to prepare yourself for the varsity season then to enroll in our brand new 2016 SBS Ultimate Training Swim Camp! Led by skilled and certified US Swim coaches, including SBS Aquatic Director and swim coach Marc Danin, this camp will feature modules on proper technique, endurance training and core strengthening, which will provide swimmers with the tools for success. This course is designed for those looking to get an edge on the competition and to better their chance at success during the school year’s varsity season. Enrollment is limited to 40 girls.
