Program Description
Long Island Champions: 1999
County Champions: 1987, 1998, 1999
The Stony Brook baseball program returned to the diamond in 2011 as a varsity program after competing at the JV level in 2010. The team is young and has improved over the course of the year, giving good reason for optimism for the future. We focus on the fundamentals: playing good defense, throwing strikes, and executing situationally at the plate and on the bases in order to limit mistakes and create and capitalize on scoring opportunities. We are committed to helping athletes grow not only as baseball players, but as men, applying lessons learned through the sport to daily life.
