Homecoming 2016

Friday September 30 - October 2, 2016
(Honoring class years ending in 1 and 6)

We welcome all alumni and most especially the reunion classes - the 1s and the 6s.  Below you will find some useful information in preparation of your visit and reunion:

Registration for Homecoming will be available online in July. To help defray costs of Homecoming we recommend a donation of $50.00 per person. Thank you!

Parking is available behind Johnston, in the quad and along Chapman. Guests requiring ADA Permit parking are encouraged to display their permits upon arrival to the campus. We ask that you contact Frances Pistell at frances.pistell@stonybrookschool.org a week before Homecoming so that we can make sure special parking is available for those who require it.

Reunion Class Photographs

Class photographs will be professionally taken during Saturday lunch in Kanas. Candids and class photos taken over the weekend will be posted online after the weekend.

Athletic Events

We will not know the timing of athletic events until this summer. We will post them as soon as we can confirm them.

School Store

The School Store located in Kanas Commons will be open at intervals on Homecoming Weekend. Great shopping for SBS mementos, clothing and necessities.

Class Gifts

The Stony Brook School recognizes that Homecoming is a time for reconnecting, catching up, introducing spouses and children and just being at your alma mater again with your classmates. We always appreciate when a class feels called to raise funds for the School for a particular cause or project. Your generosity and ongoing commitment to

The Stony Brook School means a lot. Please contact the Development Office at 631-751-1800 ext. 5 for more information.

Class Reps

We know that it is helpful for a few key people in the class to spearhead each class’ reunion. We can assist you with schedules, but someone in the class or some committee of classmates will want to plan the class event—whether it is the Saturday dinner or another gathering. We can provide the contact information that we have, so that your class rep or committee can encourage alumni to attend. We try to work with the class reps that are listed, but we are happy to be flexible. Some classes find it helpful to set up Facebook pages to facilitate buzz and communication.

Thank you! Please don’t hesitate to reach out. We look forward to welcoming you on campus soon.

With warm regards,

Jane A. Taylor
Assistant Head of School
