Social Studies 8
Eighth graders slowly explore the Eastern Hemisphere in a westerly direction (Oceania, Asia, Africa, and Europe). James Cook, Marco Polo, Zhou Takwan, Ibn Battuta, and Herodotus make up the bulk of our historical study. Also highlighted are world cultural studies and the critical analysis of historical documents, with greater emphasis on analytical thinking and asking the right questions.
Please note: All courses are not taught every semester. Offerings will vary depending on enrollment, student interest and semester scheduling.
