Music Theory
This course is designed to expand on how music works for every student, not just those involved in music. Students will develop musical skills that will lead to a thorough understanding of music composition and music theory. Through this course of study, students will learn to analyze, synthesize, and create music with an understanding of the various techniques used in western music. This course is open to sophomores, juniors and seniors.
Though not a designated AP course, past students have successfully taken the AP Music Theory exam.
Please note: All courses are not taught every semester. Offerings will vary depending on enrollment, student interest and semester scheduling.
