English as a Second Language II
English as a Second Language (ESL) courses are offered to international students who need to improve their English language skills. All are small, multi-level classes with instruction geared to individual needs, directed at building vocabulary and academic writing skills. Students are placed in appropriate sections based on evaluation of their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. ESL II is a second-year course with a concentration on the reading comprehension, vocabulary, and writing skills needed in regular classes. Students are expected to be auditing or fully participating in regular grade-level English and humanities subjects. (1 credit)
Please note: All courses are not taught every semester. Offerings will vary depending on enrollment, student interest and semester scheduling.
