Algebra I

This course is for 9th grade and advanced 8th grade students. As an introductory course, Algebra I assumes no previous algebra background and is considered the first year of a student’s upper school math sequence. Algebra I covers properties (commutative, associative, distributive, inverse), exponential notation, equations with absolute values, algebra with inequalities, polynomial equations, factoring trinomial squares, linear equations, radical expressions and equations using the Pythagorean Theorem and quadratic expressions.
Please note: All courses are not taught every semester. Offerings will vary depending on enrollment, student interest and semester scheduling.
