Advanced Placement Statistics (Prerequisite: Pre-Calculus)
AP Statistics is designed to be equivalent to a semester of introductory college statistics. In this course, students develop strategies for collecting, organizing, analyzing and drawing conclusions from various real-life data sets. Students design, administer, and tabulate results from surveys and experiments. Probability and simulations aid students in constructing models for chance phenomena. Students use the TI 84/89 graphing calculator and web-based Java applets to investigate statistical concepts. To develop effective statistical communication skills, students are required to prepare frequent written and oral analyses using real data. (1 credit)
Please note: All courses are not taught every semester. Offerings will vary depending on enrollment, student interest and semester scheduling.
