Advanced Placement European History
Taught at a more demanding level than European History, this course is designed for those students wishing to do college-level work in preparation for the AP Examination in May. The course covers the material from the Renaissance to the fall of Communism. Intellectual history is stressed, as we trace the political, economic, religious, and social themes through the centuries. Added emphasis is placed on critical reading, evaluating point of view in primary documents, and mastery of writing a sophisticated 30 minute essay. (1 credit)
Please note: All courses are not taught every semester. Offerings will vary depending on enrollment, student interest and semester scheduling.
