“From my perspective as a day student, The Stony Brook School is the definition of a ‛home away from home.’ I have grown tremendously in all facets of my life throughout my experience at Stony Brook, all the while being made to feel that I am part of a close-knit community of students and faculty, who share a common zeal for education and growth. Furthermore, I feel like I know all of my teachers on a level beyond a simple teacher-student relationship. They are always available to help with homework, help with sports, or just to talk to as a friend. My experience as a football player at the School is also a credit to the lasting relationships that one builds at this school. I know everyone on the team personally, even to the point of being as close as brothers. The same goes for the coaches, who pour their hearts and souls into the team and its players, every day of every week. The Stony Brook ‛experience,’ in its multifaceted entirety, is something that I will take with me and use for the rest of my life, whether it be academically, socially, or otherwise.”
