CAR From
Upstate, New England,
& Points West Cross the Throgs Neck Bridge and then head
south on the Cross Island Parkway (exit on bridge). Take the
Long Island Expressway (Rt. 495) east to exit 62. (see

From
New Jersey & Points South
Cross the Verrazano Narrows Bridge; then head east on the
Belt or Shore Parkway to the Southern State Parkway. Continue
east until the
Southern State intersects with
the Sagtikos Parkway. Go
north on the Sagtikos Parkway,
to the Long Island Expressway (Rt. 495). Then head east on
the Long Island Expressway to exit 62. (See On Long Island)
On Long Island
Take the Long Island Expressway (Rt. 495) to exit 62 north
which is Nichols Road (Route 97). Continue north on Nichols
Road for about 10 miles until it ends at Route 25A. Turn left
on Route 25A; proceed for 1/2 mile to Chapman Parkway, the
campus entrance on the right.
BY TRAIN Stony Brook station is located along the Long
Island Railroad, Port Jefferson Line. The station is directly
across the street from the School. From New York's Pennsylvania
Station, travel time is approximately two hours. For a recent
schedule, check the Long Island Railroad web site.
BY FERRY Year-round car ferries operate between Port
Jefferson, which is four miles east of the School, and Bridgeport,
Connecticut. There is also a ferry between Orient Point, on
the east end of Long Island, and New London, Connecticut.

BY PLANE John F. Kennedy International Airport is approximately
90 minutes by car. Islip Airport is just 30 minutes by car.
