Cal Thomas Spoke

Syndicated columnist and contributor to Fox News, Cal Thomas, spoke at The Stony Brook School, 1 Chapman Parkway, Stony Brook in Hegeman Chapel on Sunday, December 16, 2007, at 11 a.m.

Thomas, a 40-year veteran of broadcast and print journalism, is the host of After Hours with Cal Thomas on FOX, where he also serves as a political contributor. Thomas also hosts a daily radio program, which is syndicated on stations nationwide. Thomas has authored 10 books, and co-authored Common Ground, which was published October 2007. He currently writes a bi-weekly column, which appears in newspapers nationwide, including USA Today.

Thomas is a graduate of American University. He worked for NBC News, CNBC, PBS television and the Fox News Network; and appeared on NBC Nightly News, Nightline, The Today Show, Good Morning America, Larry King Live, and the Oprah Winfrey Show. Awards presented to Thomas include a George Foster Peabody team reporting award, awards from Associated Press and United Press International, and was honored with a Cable Ace Award nomination for Best Interview Program. Thomas, his wife, four children and eight grandchildren reside in the Washington, D.C. area.
