On Monday, February 9, senior and team captain of The Stony Brook School's League VIII champion basketball team, Danielle Spiliotis (Port Jefferson) committed to attend Cedarville University in Ohio. Cedarville's Lady Yellow Jackets Head Coach Kirk Martin presented the official papers to Spiliotis in the presence of Head Coach Keith Singer, Danielle's parents Steve and Anne Marie Spiliotis, her teammates, and other administrators, faculty and staff of The Stony Brook School. Presently, Cedarville is ranked 18th in the nation in NAIA Division II Women's Basketball. Immediately after Spiliotis signed the National Letter of Intent she departed with the girls' basketball team for a road game at Pierson where the Lady Bears won 69-22.. |
