|
| A group of about thirty students and faculty from The Stony Brook School attended the beach clean up Saturday, September 12th. They broke up into six small groups to collect trash along the beach in Port Jefferson. The students then recorded all of the items found which is helpful to determine the origin of the waste. Once determined, changes can be recommended to waste facilities regarding the size of filters needed to eliminate certain products from negatively impacting the environment. |
