"WATERCOLORS FROM THE LANDSCAPE"
ART GALLERY OPENING AT THE STONY BROOK SCHOOL

The Visual Arts Department of The Stony Brook School extends an invitation to attend The Helen Figge Moss Memorial Exhibition. The opening reception will take place on Sunday, March 21, 2010, at 1:30 pm in Carson Gallery, 1 Chapman Parkway, Stony Brook. Admission is free and open to the public. The artist featured is Theodore Murphy. Murphy, an artist and teacher, currently serves as Professor of Fine Arts at Houghton College in Houghton, New York where he has been teaching for 23 years. For the past three years Mr. Murphy has been working in watercolor. Mr. Murphy works from life and seeks to find the inherent qualities of beauty in everyday scenes that he paints.
